There wasn't much glamour where he came from - all the neon that entranced Sasha, he had seen in magazines, or heard from in stories. Even though he was, all things considered, a small town boy, he didn't feel out of place in the Light District. The vicinity of the PokéStudios was crowded with beautiful people that didn't look like they belonged in the real world. Some of their faces seemed familiar, maybe he'd seen their picture at some point. Sasha checked his own reflection in the glass of a storefront: his lip was scarred and the curve of his jaw just a bit off, but he didn't look like much of a thug, neither like the poster boy of a popular brand.
Whatever. They were looking, after all, for a guard, not somebody whose face was marketable. If you knew how to take and pack a punch in a worst case scenario, you were hired. He had that whole thing going for him. Couldn't guess why an idol would choose some stranger to escort them, but he wasn't much about thinking anyway.
His Pokémon hovered gently about him, stopping where Sasha chose to lean against a wall close to the exit of the studios. They hadn't been a pair for too long - Knife was a hand-me-down, a parting gift from one of the older trainers he had known. He wasn't even sure the Honedge would obey him in a fight, but at least for now it followed him wherever he happened to go, which was good enough for him. After straightening the folds on his t-shirt and lighting a cigarette, he returned to staring out at the passing faces, waiting.

Dae-hyun exited the studio after another grueling day of photoshoots for some sort of marketing plan. His Cinccino, Oracle, too seemed tired by the flashing lights at times. In a fit to be done, the pokemon acted like a diva to upset the crew so they would wrap the day up. Tossing her fur around her shoulders, Oracle strutted out after him, glaring daggers at the poor photographers. As soon as they were out--unknowingly next to Sasha-- Dae-hyun crouched down next to his pokemon. "I know it gets tiring, Oracle. But these people are just trying to make a living." He picked up the pokemon, and began to look around. "You can get mad at our manager later--" The teen spoted a trainer with a sword pokemon. This must be the person who took up his quest.
"Hello, are you Sasha?" Dae-hyun prompted, shifting Oracle in his arms to hold out a hand for him to shake. "You can call me Dae-hyun, or Dante. Whatever makes you comfortable."

He recognized his employer the moment he walked out of the building, but Sasha didn't say anything, simply listening absentmindedly to what the other was exchanging with his Pokémon. An adorable little thing, although he couldn't quite tell how it would hold up in a fight. Probably well - Pokémon were surprisingly strong. He had never tried talking to his, though, at least not yet. Knife was staring off in the distance, mimicking what it had seen him do while they were waiting. Definitely odd things, these creatures.
When Dante finally noticed and greeted him, he turned to face the other as well, a half-smile on his face. "Good meeting ya'." he said back, shaking his hand while he flicked ash off his cigarette with the other. "Taking you to Marrasay, eh? Hell of a walk."

Dante mirrored the half smile, pulling his hands closer to Oracle. "A bit of a walkl, yes. But, I feel I need to get there without my manager breathing down my neck." He shifted the bag on his shoulder. "If you get what I mean." He offered Sasha an embarassed grin. Seemingly in a hurry to get out of there, Dae-hyun began leading the way out of the city, the Cinccino chattering along the way. The bright lights of the city would have awed any other person, but the idol seemed immune to the lights, and immune to the curious glances his way--walking with a purpose. The chatter of the city seemed to grow louder, and with each new voice, Dae-hyun pressed forward. "I need to get to my hotel and get into inconspicious clothes, so we are going to make a detour. Okay?"

Huh. Seemed like such a hassle, being famous. But at least, by the looks of this guy, it paid. "Far out." With a motion of his hand, he got Knife's attention, the Pokémon trailing behind them as they started on their way.
He'd never walked with a celebrity before. Dae-hyun, Dante, or whatever his name was, sure got a lot of looks from the crowd. Not a lot of them landed on Sasha, luckily, but there were people, probably wondering why he was even there, whose eyes fixed on him. The murmurs and the glances created one hell of an atmosphere around them. He hurried his pace to keep up with the other. "I get you deal with this stuff often, eh? Doesn't phase you anymore." he asked with an impressed hum.

As the other boy said that, Dae-hyun's smile wavered. "I don't think anyone could get used to this, Sasha." He admitted as they neared the hotel. "Some of the attention is bad--which is why I asked for someone to come with me." The large hotel stood in front of him, and the dark haired teen paused to let the other teen catch up. "Wait here, it will only be a moment."
And only a moment it was. When he returned, Dae-hyun's face was no longer adorned with makeup, and he wore a Amry's Islands t-shirt with cargo shorts and comfy tennis shoes--hair covered in a beanie. Losing his idol clothes, and having no makeup on, he almost looked like a regualr kid. Though, he was still recogniseable if fans looked closely. "Okay, sorry for the detour. Let's head out." This time as they walked, Dae-hyun walked next to Sasha, making small talk about the islands and what they have to offer. He explained that they would be heading though the Shady Grove rather than heading through the hills, and that they could stop at any place the other teen wanted. From the way Dae-hyun talked, he didn't seem in much of a hurry.

In the small amount of time it took Dante to get changed, Sasha waited outside, smoking and staring at the people passing by, and he probably wouldn't have recognized the other when he returned. Celebrities were good at disguises like that, he reminded himself. He offered him a thumbs-up and they kept going.
They walked at leisurely pace - Sasha hadn't had much time to take in the sights of the island anyway, so this was welcome. And it was nice to see that despite who he was, Dante wasn't such a far removed guy. Maybe it had something to do with the cargo shorts. It didn't take too long for the larger buildings to start transforming into simpler and simpler ones as they left behind the bustling part of the city and neared its edge. "We would make much better time if we found someplace to rent a bike or something." he spouted, looking over to the other for some sort of confirmation.

Dae-hyun considered this for a moment, before nodding. While walking on foot was fine with him, they'd move exponentially faster if they used bikes. "I think there is a bike rental near the gate out of here." He frowned. "I think a block or two ahead." As it turned out, it wasn't a block or two ahead. It was a dozen or so blocks ahead. As they finally rounded the corner it was on, Dae-hyun offered Sasha a sheepish smile. "Sorry, I don't always get to go out into the city."
As they rented the bikes, Dae-hyun offered to pay for Sasha's as he rented a white bike with mountain tires for the hills--and multiple gears to fit what he needed. They were not going to be able to use a city bike for crossing the island.

"Busy guy, eh? Don't sweat it, it's not like I've gotten around a lot since I've been here either." he shrugged. Apart from staking out the good places, the ones that didn't check for his IDs if he put a pretty enough show on, Sasha had taken very little notice of the neighborhoods, much less the entire island.
He used to race bikes down the hill near the orphanage with the other kids. The even raised enough money to one time buy themselves one of the expensive ones they used for real mountain biking, like the one Dante had just gotten himself, and managed to wreck it the very next day by riding it straight into a wall. Hell of a lot of fun. He followed the other's example a picked out a similar bike, thanking him for the lent money. "Don't go around falling - I promised I'd get you in one piece to that concert." he added as he mounted, getting Knife to settle down in the basket attached to the front of the bike.

Dae-hyun gave him a grin. "Well, I don't plan on it, but if I go down, you take my place on the stage then, yeah?" He joked, wheeling the bike out of the shop, and putting on a helmet. He would take Oracle out to enjoy the ride, but since she was a strong indicator of his on stage personaility, it wouldn't be good for staying under the radar. Aja would insist on stomping around, and Calypso would not enjoy a bike ride--so... the trainer reached into his bag and tossed out a pokeball. A Ralts appeared in the basket, lookig up at her trainer, then gave a wave to Sasha.
"Alright, Ego. Ready for a trip?" The idol looked over at Sasha, foot on the pedal. "Lets head out." With that, they pushed out of the city, heading though the valley in the mountains, toward the Shady Grove.

Making sure there was no way for Knife to fall out of the basket, he gave Dante an energetic nod, pressing his feet down on the pedals to get going, following the other closely. It wasn't surprising, the he had many Pokémon, but Sasha couldn't help but be a little envious. He hadn't had time to scour the forests and plains for any yet, and it was starting to irk him that maybe other trainers were getting the jump on him. Nevertheless, he focusing on the road ahead, making a mental note to find the time to head out one of these days. Wasn't even very sure what he was looking for, but maybe he'd figure it out along the way.
"So, you do anything else besides your job? Guessed asking you about that would get old fast." he asked, momentarily catching up with the other, although as they neared the forest, the path grew narrower. Occasionally, he'd have to ride onto the grass to avoid somebody walking. "Maybe you've got some niche hobby I can gossip about later."

"Ahh." Dae-hyun smiled, stopping his pedaling as they coasted down the path, allowing him just a moment to lean back and relax. "I suppose I have to give something to you to tell the tabolids, don't you think?" He hummed, offering Sasha a grin of amusement. "What do you think would be the most outlandish thing you could tell them?" The idol asked, pushing down on his pedals once, twice, three times before he was back up to speed. Ego settling down in the basket, staring up at the clouds above them in relaxation. "I suppose Magikarp jumping would be funny, or perhaps jam making would be better..." None of which he actually did, but, no one really knew that. Aside from Sasha now, who very likely picked up on his saracasm. Sasha seemed smart, and not one of the people to do this just to get close to him. Which he appreciated. "Do you have any obscure hobbies in mind from where you lived?" He asked, throwing his question over his shoulder as he swerved around a couple that hogged the path.
