The Maeko Forest was alive with noise as Cayden slinked along the leaf-litter alongside his companion, Cat. The Litten was like his trainer, swift and silent, amber eyes glowing in the darkness, but no other tells beside that. They were on a mission, to find another companion that would off-set Cat's weaknesses, and bolster their forces. Cayden only saw numbers, and weaknesses he needed to bolster, but Cat wanted someone to protect his fool master. Cat's opinion was that Cayden was much too prone to haughty arrogance, which oft ended with him getting into conflict. Without Cayden's father's Vileplume and Cloyster to bail him out, his win-loss record was looking not only sad, but also affecting them mentally. The more, the merrier.

The moment they finally managed to corner a pokemon, Litten was quick to slam it down for Cayden to make an easy catch. Cayden threw his pokeball at the Treecko.

Sadly, it was a miss as the leafy lizard broke out easily, the ball barely even had time to shake. But undeterred, he threw again.

Cat turned to face Cayden, giving his owner a sharp look, as if to ask what the actual heck he was doing. He practically gave up this Treecko to Cayden on a platter.

At this throw, the pokeball shook once, twice, and finally thrice till the familiar click signalled it was over. Cayden didn't know what to do, half expecting it to start shaking again. Sighing with relief, he walked over and tentatively gave it a nudge before picking it up. He gave it a toss in the air a couple of times before throwing it out for the Treecko to exit. The green lizard looked up at it's new trainer, a bit puzzled as to why he was being freed so soon after being caught. Cat wasted no time in rubbing up against the new addition, scent marking him to be a part of the family. "Welcome to the team, Green."1-230·1-15·1-15·1-15·1-15·1-15
