It is a meager turnout for a rather unambitious cup, with the large stadium largely out-sizing its attendance. Nevertheless, it is the first of the young league's history. The referee whistles for the challengers to enter the stadium from their respective tunnels. Scattered applause and cheers erupt.

| J ett wondered what he going himself into this was a simple tournament and something about left off. This is a what Pokemon trainer was like and by far much more interesting than ranger but only he didn't feel uncomfortable right now. In his team were four Pokemon that would help become something of legends in the Pokemon league or otherwise. This was going to be event he would never forget. "Come,Jett. Let's not keep everyone watching." Said Pikachu. She was nested happily on his shoulder while Honedge remained concealed in it;s sheathe with attacked to his back by a few strap. Its almost never spoke or move unless it would for food. He could only hope that the sword Pokemon would open up to him one day but for there were more important matter to deal with. "Jett!" "Relax, we're waiting for the signal." Jett sighed put up his hood. He rather be the mysterious trainer/challenger and have folks begin to swooning over him....again. With this whistle and he knew it was time. "Finally!" "Pikachu!" Without word he walked out from the tunnels into the stadium. It was so loud with all crowd cheering. Alright, let's do this. "Hey, there. Milady. I am Jett. Let's give it our all." |

So, it was time for the Starter's Cup. Blaire felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness bubbling up inside her. She was ready to get into a real battle and see what her Growlithe and her two new Pokémon could do, but she couldn't stop thinking about all the people that would be there. Having all of them watching her potentially make critical mistakes... It made her feel sick.
As she went out of the tunnel and onto the stadium pitch, however, she was surprised to find that it wasn't as crowded as she expected. There were plenty of people, but they seemed dwarfed by how big the stadium was. Maybe there were supposed to be bigger events than this one. She wasn't sure whether to feel offended or relief. Perhaps a mixture of both.
"Hi." She stood there on the opposite side of the battlefield, lifting her hand in greeting to her opponent. "I'm Blaire. Good luck." She wasn't exactly sure what to say, so hopefully that was enough.

| J ett nodded before look back a honegde to if wanted to the stage first. Not even a sound so that told everything he need real quick. The starter cup was going to be something are really and just hope it was get it's act together. "let me! Let me!" "Alright, Pikachu the stage is yours!" Eagerly the mouse pokemon jumped her 's trainer arm on the battlefield. Who was going to be her opponent? Someone big or small? That wouldn't matter because she was going to give it her all. As the fastest Pikachu from were she came from this was going making her mission to make Jett proud.

For her first Pokémon, Blaire was always going to go with her number one. "Let's go, Reddick!" She tossed out her Pokéball, and her Growlithe popped out ready to battle.

| A Growlithe the fire pokemon from the look of it. It was going to be the quite formidable opponent but he was not afraid and just need to by his time. While Pikachu smirked at foe who being to slow she already have an idea of what to do but what would j-. "Pikachu use Nasty Plot!"

Starting off with a booster move, eh? Blaire smiled, knowing that she could get in an attack while the Pikachu was biding its time. "Reddick, use Bite!" Her Growlithe ran forward, growling as he clamped his fangs down on the rodent.

| J ett smirked to himself didn't Blaire never to use physical attacks against a Pikachu unless you sure you KO even this to outcome might be nasty. This girl just open up a can of worm for herself or maybe not they will have to see. Pikachu growled a Growlite bite her! Least he could have little more zesty into his bite such of being so basic about! Oh no the crowd was roaring for the him too. Unacceptable! I'll will sure he regrets that! "Keep it together Pikachu. Used Thunder shock!"

Growlithe jumped back as it was hit with the small bolt of lightning, little ripples of electricity gliding across his fur. Growling loudly, it dived back in for the attack as Blaire yelled, "Use Bite again!" When you only had one damaging move, you had to make do with what you had.

| P ikachu yelped at the bite but remained shaking off the fire dog and back to re group not bad but it was barely making a bent into the it. She was getting a little bit annoyed until her trainer up again. "Keep it together, Pikachu Thundershock again!" "Easy for you to say!" Just keep wearing down it's defense and stop giving me so much lip. Is what Jett want to say so bad but remained quiet. This was going to be a long battle!

The bolts of electricity weren't powerful, but they were still effective. Growlithe had to keep shaking off the shocks in order to keep going, but he wasn't going to let his trainer down! Once again, he dived forward in order to chomp down on the Pikachu.

A nuzzle would be pretty cute if it wasn't like being nuzzled by a light taser. Growlithe's steps were slowing with each shock he took, but he had to keep going. He had to keep attacking with the only damaging attack he knew. Maybe he could finally end it here...
