HOW TO TIER UP
Helpful Link: Battle System
All trainers begin their Pokémon journey with a Tier 1 starter Pokémon. As you catch and obtain new Pokémon, they will advance in Tier depending on the actions you take on your journey.
Team Tier-Ups will advance your entire party one tier higher. These include:
- Accepting and completing a Gold Quest in the Quest board.
- Winning a team contest.
- Defeating all the NPC trainers in an area.
- Defeating a gym leader.
Individual Tier-Ups will advance a select party member one tier higher, chosen by the roleplayer. These include:
- Accepting and completing a Silver Quest in the Quest board.
- Winning an individual contest.
- Defeating a Totem.
- Defeating another PC trainer.
EVOLUTION
Most Pokémon evolve by level, and will evolve in the according equivalent Tier.
e.g. Caterpie, which evolves at level 7 and again at level 10, would evolve in Tiers 2 and 3.
Other Pokémon evolve by friendship, elemental stones, trade, learned moves, or other more obscure conditions. Let's make that simpler for you!

MOVES
You can carry 6 Pokémon with you at a time; all others must be kept in PC Storage. Pokémon may know 4 moves at a time. Upon evolving or moving into a new Tier, a Pokémon may learn new moves.
Egg moves are restricted to Tier 1 starter Pokémon (max of 1 egg move), or otherwise by breeding and hatching your own Pokémon.
When you complete a Gold Quest, you are rewarded with 2 TM or Move Tutor moves of your choice.
SKILL CHECK
There's more to training Pokémon than just battles. Your Pokémon might find itself in tests of speed, strength, agility, or endurance against other Pokémon. In these cases, you may be challenged to make a Skill Check. Roll 1d20 and add the relevant stat modifier (e.g. HP, ATK, Sp. ATK, DEF, Sp. DEF, SPD). The higher number wins; a tie may result in a continued struggle and another roll. You may have to pull off several successful Skill Checks in a row to overcome certain challenges.
BREEDING
Two Pokémon of the opposite sex and the same egg group can breed and produce an egg. Pair up your own Pokémon, or another roleplayer's. A trainer who Tiers up with an egg in their party will see their egg hatch! Pokémon obtained this way are allowed your choice of any 2 egg moves.
