Basic Rules
1. Administrators have the option of changing, adding, or removing rules as they see fit.
2. No sexism, racism, xenophobia, or any targeted hate or harassment.
3. The attempt to subvert a temporary ban with a second account will result in a permanent ban.
4. Refrain from establishing yourself as a senior member or in a role of superiority over any member, unless you are a staff member or in some way designated as an authority in the subject you are discussing. Don't add unnecessary tiers or blockades to the community culture. We're all equal here.
5. Join the Discord if you can for up-to-date alerts and announcements, and to better integrate with the community. The link is in the second 'News' alert at the top of the home page. You may need to copy and paste the link manually into your browser.
6. Be respectful of any external sites if you are representing the forum, e.g. to advertise. Complaints about your conduct may result in punishment.
Roleplaying Rules
1. This is a roleplaying website largely populated by adults. Adult themes and actions are allowed, but the administrators may terminate anything they deem too inappropriate. This goes for vulgar language and character personalities as well.
2. Pokémon gore, torture, or explicitly violent death are not allowed. This may be a dogfighting brand, but fainting is the extent of harm that may be inflicted to Pokémon. This is not one of those edgy Pokémon fangames. This does not apply to humans unless the administrators decide the roleplay is too inappropriate.
3. You may have as many characters as you wish, though we encourage to have one competing in the Pokémon League. This is so we know there will be enough people exercising the site's main purpose, which is to rise through the Pokémon League.
4. The battle system is mandatory in any official play, such as battles against Gym Leaders or official tournaments. Any casual roleplay is not required to use the battle system.
5. Trading with other players is allowed, but only with trainers of the same category. This means that League trainers can only trade with League trainers, and non-League/NPC trainers can only trade with non-League/NPC trainers. This is due to the lack of regulation on NPC starting teams.
6. Both anime/drawn and real life faceclaims are allowed.
7. There must be a minimum 24 hour buffer between the last NPC or tier-raising action you partake in and the next. These actions include quests, contests, gym leader challenges, and NPC Trainer challenges (those found in the 'Trainers and Wild Pokémon' threads).
8. Starters must be first-level, unevolved Pokémon for League trainers. An exception is made for many second-level Pokémon whose first-levels are categorized as baby Pokémon. These are: Pikachu (instead of Pichu), Chansey (instead of Happiny), Sudowoodo (instead of Bonsly), Roselia (instead of Budew), Marill (instead of Azurill), Togetic (instead of Togepi), and Chimecho (instead of Chingling). Though considered baby Pokémon, this privilege does not extend to the evolutionary lines of Tyrogue, Magby, Elekid, Munchlax, Wynaut, Riolu, or Mantyke. You have the option of starting with the baby Pokémon whose evolutions are eligible for this privilege if you wish.
9. Starters cannot be legendary Pokémon.
