Area Description and Appearance

The following details are for the sake of aiding roleplay, to help you picture your surroundings. Feel free to bridge any gaps and define details of your own, to help the area become more alive.

Description: Huanglu City is a metropolis, the most technologically and architecturally advanced city in the Amrys Islands. It is considered a new city, indistinguishably large and developed from how it was just 25 years earlier. Commonplace are giant neon screens advertising products or showing information from around the world. The city is relatively dense, with much of its population living in highrise skyscrapers. Most of the city's natural elements are on the outskirts, though you will see the occasional tree or corner garden.

The city contains the largest Pokemon Center in the region, and one of the largest in the world; a new building, it consists of dozens of floors with free dorms given to trainers competing in the local Pokemon League. At the top floor is an expansive lounge area, equipped with a televisions and comfy couches, as well as practical areas such as kitchens and gyms. A balcony overlooks the whole city.

The harbor is teeming with boats from all over the world. The SS Anne will often stop in the city for a day or so, bringing eager tourists. The massive harbor is sided by a long boardwalk, which offers an avenue down the city's shopping district. There are beaches at the corner of the city, but most of the city's shoreline is taken up by the harbor or raised walking pavilions. Streets through the city are gridded, narrow, and bustling, and you may get lost if not familiar with the concrete jungle.

Huanglu City is located in the far eastern end of the Amyrs Islands and the Huanglu District. It occupies the crescent-shaped bay at this side of the mainland island, known fittingly as East Crescent Bay.
